Center for Chinese Aerospace Studies

Welcome to the Alta Center for Chinese Aerospace Studies. Founded in 2014, the Alta Center was established for the purposes of promoting the global aerospace, aviation and scholarly community’s engagement with China and advancing international understanding of Chinese aviation and aerospace issues. Through interdisciplinary scholarship and continuous dialogue, the Alta Center researches and educates its audience on topics and developments that influence the aerospace and aviation sectors in China. The Center produces publications and a blog, develops and delivers educational courses and materials, organizes and participates in events, provides resources, seminars and workshops, and offers consultation services in the field of Chinese aviation and aerospace studies. The Center also seeks to provide volunteer services, activities and support in efforts that promote bilateral dialogue, assistance and understanding between the Chinese and global aviation communities. The Alta Center seeks to build a community of aviation and aerospace professionals, scholars, and enthusiasts who can collaborate and socialize in all of these efforts. With a philosophy of inclusion versus exclusion, the Center communicates via online, multi-media and social media channels in addition to traditional methods of scholarship. The Alta Center welcomes participation, scholarship, ideas and dialogue from all corners of the globe and from professionals, scholars, students and enthusiasts of all levels of education, experience and abilities. So welcome to the Alta Center for Chinese Aerospace Studies and please stay connected with us via the blog and our page on Facebook.
